Garmin 396

The Garmin GPSMAP 396 is one of the latest handheld products GPS products. This high-end electronic device is perfect for marine, aviation, and automotive travel. By simply pressing a button, you can toggle between the marine and automotive mode.

When boating, the Garmin GPSMAP 396 offers a marine database and U.S. tide data. When used with MapSource BlueChart you can view depth information and all the other pertinent marine data that boaters need.

In the automotive mode the device can be used with MapSource City Select for very detailed driving info including turn-by-turn directions to your destination.

The Garmin GPSMAP 396 can display Traffic Information Service (TIS) data when interfaced with the GTX 330. It is also capable of receiving XM Satellite radio for such things as sports, news, music, talk and entertainment.

It's 256 color display can be customized to overlay XM WX data or it can show various weather products. And because of the high-resolution display, viewing in bright light is very good.
